History or background of award

This scholarship was established to assist and encourage students, preferably from developing countries who are undertaking a PhD in Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship is open to students who have completed at least 2.5 years of their PhD studies but require more time to complete their thesis.

Purpose of award

Its purpose is to recognise and reward talent and assist in meeting their education costs. The scholarship is a contribution to tuition fees only.
