History or background of award

This grant was established from the bequest of Dr Joan Mattingley, who graduated with a PhD in Biological Chemistry in 1977. Her husband Charles Cameron had a lifelong interest in music. The award provides funds specifically for travel and administered by the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation.

Purpose of award

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage enrolment in Master's programmes in both Chemistry and Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington, which may include domestic or international travel components.
