History and purpose of award

Chubb Life Insurance NZ Ltd (Chubb) has been a Wellington-based employer of actuaries for many years. Chubb is very interested to play its part in the local community to promote the actuarial profession as a career and support those wishing to study actuarial science and later work as an actuary in the Wellington region.

The purpose of the award is encourage students to consider the actuarial profession and the Actuarial Science major offered at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University. Also, to promote Chubb as an employer of actuaries, providing health and wellbeing solutions to customers across NZ.
