History or background of award

This scholarship is co-funded with Victoria University of Wellington to support Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board's Ngā Ara Matua Strategy and Ngāti Tūwharetoa participation and success at Victoria.

Purpose of award

Each applicant will need to be studying full-time at Victoria University of Wellington for an undergraduate qualification in Environmental Science, Te Reo Māori, Education, Health, Engineering, Commerce or Law and be registered with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board.

Provide a personal statement on how their study aligns with the chosen category, describe their current involvement with Ngati Tuwharetoa marae, hapu and iwi; describe how their qualification will enable them to contribute to Ngati Tuwharetoa marae, hapu and iwi.
